Spring 2024 Soccer Sign-Ups

Our Recreational soccer program is designed for beginners and those who primarily want to have fun, while learning the sport. Players are assigned to teams and coached by our volunteer parents.

This program is affiliated with the Cal North (CYSA) organization established in 1969.

Recreational Soccer Fees -
U7 and above - $145.00
U6 and below - $135.00
*This includes 1 jersey kit (top, bottom and sock).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What age does soccer start and end?
Answer: SYSA usually provides teams for players who are ages 4 through 18. Check your child's soccer age group by clicking here.

What about Uniforms?
Answer: A uniform will be provided to your child. This will include a jersey, shorts and socs. You are responsible to supply shin guards and cleats for your child/player; these are required to play.

If my child wants to buy her own ball? What size should I buy?
Answer: Players ages 4-7 or U6-U8, Size 3. Players ages 8-11 or U9-U12, Size 4, Players ages 12 and older or U14-U17, Size 5.

When does the season start?
Answer: The Spring season starts late March and runs until early June. Fall season runs from late August through the last week in October. Practices are typically two days per week, but depends on the coach and age of the players. Games are played on Saturdays at the San Joaquin Regional Soccer Complex (Arch Rd. Exit off Hwy 99).

How long is the season?
Answer: Approx. 8 weeks for U8 players and younger. For U10 players and up there will be an End of Season (EOS) tournament the final weekend of the season.

Can my team play in a tournament?
Answer: Yes. Some teams choose to play in tournaments. SYSA will allow recreational teams to attend up to 3 tournaments per season.

Can I request a coach?
Answer: Yes. Although we do not guarantee your request will be honored. We will make an effort to accommodate these requests following our player placement policy. Returning players who wish to change from their current assigned coach will be placed on another team randomly. If you would like additional information please contact the Age Group Coordinator for your specific age group.

When will I know my child's team and coach?
Answer: Our goal is to have team assignments completed 3 weeks prior to the start of the season. Coaches are advised to contact players as soon as possible after the teams have been formed.
