	Our History

1971	The inaugural fall soccer season commences under the guidance of the City of Stockton's Department of Parks and Recreation and a steering committee of 13 local citizens.
1972	The Stockton Police Youth Activities (SPYA) Soccer League is established and affiliated with the California Youth Soccer Association in order to provide a spring soccer program for the children of Stockton. The City of Stockton's Department of Parks and Recreation continues management of the fall soccer program.
1976	The SPYA Soccer League assumes responsibility for administering both fall and spring youth soccer programs in Stockton.
1979	Experiencing extensive growth, the Stockton Youth Soccer Association is established to oversee administrative responsibilities and assume liability for youth soccer in the city of Stockton.
